Fiercely Free Friday

Happy, Fiercely Free Friday!!! What an AMAZING ME-Time day! Yep, just God, me, and what He scheduled for my agenda for the day. While I know the value of me-time moments to refresh, renew and rejuvenate, sometimes we can get trapped in the busyness of being productive. Yet, if we aren't careful, we will most assuredly find ourselves in the hustle and bustle of life - tired, depleted, irritable, frustrated, and just not okay. How do I know - I've done, and I bet many of you have too.


But there is something powerful when we take time to self-care, replenish our mind, body, and spirit, and rejuvenate our overall well-being. Sometimes we need to stop and allow ourselves to feel what is most needed at the moment to self-nurture. I am a huge proponent of me-time moments and have found that I must stay true to what I teach without interruption. Why do I say this? Because you cannot pour out of an empty vessel. But how do we practice me-time moments? By setting boundaries!

Setting boundaries begins with learning to say "NO." Saying no is a complete sentence and requires no further explanation. It is the art of embracing being selfish, not selfless. No one but YOU is truly capable of putting yourself first. As you focus on establishing boundaries, you will discover that you will love yourself more when you set limits for ANYTHING that dares to impede your spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being.
